Jan

I was invited to go to the Exploratorium with Jan and her grandkids. Jan's sister, Jackie, came with us as well. Can I just say that I have never laughed so hard in my entire life! My ab muscles were on fire by the end of the day from overuse. But it's hard not to have a great time when you are with these ladies. They are amazing. So loving, kind, and friendly, and their laughter is truly infectious.

Renae

Renae invited me to her work today. 

She's pretty much the best Elementary Coach I've ever known!

Renae is super fun and hilarious. She is very open and relaxed, and makes those around her feel that way too. She is patient and understanding and makes the kids at her school feel appreciated. I saw her fierce dedication and willingness to help those kids have fun, and learn to work together. 

I'm grateful that I had the opportunity to see that, and to get to know Renae a little better. 

We'd all be lucky to have a friend like her.

Pence

I was invited to hang out with this cool family for part of the afternoon. The kids showed me their acrobatic, tree climbing, and awesome dancing skills while we all played outside with the neighbors. There should be a Pence family on every block, in every neighborhood. These guys are SO fun. I felt like I was right at home. 

Thanks you guys, for being so full of joy and kindness and making me smile.

Shipp's

Want to meet some of the cutest, most well behaved kids ever? We're minus a sibling, so the crazy was increased to compensate her absence while she at Grandma's. 

These kids are so creative and have amazing imaginations. But when they're not being super crazy and loud, they are so content hanging out on the couch, watching a show or reading some books. 

These guys are awesome, and I'm lucky I get to hang out with them.

Pineda's

Julia and I have been friends since we were 12 years old. She is strong, intelligent, hilarious, and has some killer dance moves. She and Lester started dating when they were 16 years old. They've been married for three years, and they are both amazing parents to the cutest little girl, Addy, who is almost a year old. Now that they both have graduated, they've moved back to the bay area.

I've hung out with these guys a lot, and they always make me feel like I'm part of their family. They are so warm and welcoming and absolutely easy to be around.

I'm glad they're back.

Luke

What do you do on your last day of summer vacation?

Sleep in. Hang out with your nieces. Play a lot of Wii. Sounds perfect. Luke is an amazing kid. He is smart and funny and an awesome uncle.

 

 

 

Joanne and Trent

 Back in high school, Joanne used to volunteer her time to help make all the parks in her area beautiful. Today, we walked through a few of them.

 These two are pretty awesome. They're fun to be around. They were easy to photograph and so easy to talk to.

The Edwards

This is one of the craziest, funniest, most amazing families I know. As soon as you walk through their door, you become a part of their family.

JR has the best sense of humor, Ronna can make anyone smile, Luke is hilarious, Brooke is kind, Caitlin is sweet, and Austin gives the best hugs. I loved spending time with this family!

Jenny

She invited me into her home and I almost forgot to take photos because we just kept talking. I could talk to Mary all day.
